Hey guys/gals I’m testing the word-press plugin to see if it going to work… lets hope…

Ok, it’s time to get all the weight off. At one point in my life I weight over 430. Over the last 10 years I’m done to 312.6. Now, I’m not calling the a diet… that fail. What I’m going to is give up Coke and candy for 30 days and log my food. My wife found this cool site for log and keeping up with your food and stuff: http://nutrimirror.com/. And it’s free!  You can add food and menus and you own food list.

Monday’s will be my way day. I will log here each day something about loss weight. I’ve always been the fat kid.  Will, that not totally true. I’ve got pictures of me before I found out that I had dyslexia and I look like a normal kid.  I’m sure the name calling and other things what when on had something to do with my bad eating.

I’m also going to be exercise each day. We have the Wii Fit Plus that makes it easy to get in a good workout. My goal for this week is to do 30 minutes a day.  I don’t want to, my back was hurting again but I push through the paid and did it. I burned 256 calories, not a lot but more then I would siting at my desk all day.

There was a woman who woke up to find $86,400 on the pillow next to her.  On an attached note was written ‘Spend it all or lose it. You will get a new $86,400 every morning.’  Being she had the shopping gene, she was able to spend it all that day easily. Yes, the next day she found the same amount again with the same note. This time she was not able to spend all the cash.  And sure enough what she didn’t spend disappeared, but again another $86,400 appeared on her pillow in the morning.

This happened every day for the next week. Then one day she woke to find only a note with the words, ‘You have 86,400 seconds in a day. When you have spent them they are gone. And you will get a new batch each day from now on.

SO, what are you doing with your 86,400 seconds a day? Have you even stopped and look at where the time has gone. Here are some questions I want you to read out loud and really think about your answers. There is no right or wrong answer. (Reading to yourself out loud in front of a mirror gives you extra credit!)

• How do you spend your time?
• What are willing to give up to make [this] work?
• Are you a self starter?
• Will you do boring tasks to get the work done?
• Can you follow step by step instruction?
• Can you handle others who do not believe in what you are doing?
• Can you live without your crutch for a day or week? (Smokes, Beer, Cokes, Fast Food, Latté, and etc.)
• Can you live without TV?
• Can you give 90 – 120 days to test it out?
• Can you give 15 – 20 hours a week?
• Are willing to dig in the couch for lost change?

Please don’t think and then forget about each of these questions. I want you to spend some time with each one and find the real answers!  Not the quick one you give to your buddy or girlfriend.  You may be thinking that a many of the question are the same thing or close to it. I want you to think about your time, where it goes and what you are doing with it. People tell me all the time they are ready to make money on the net but won’t give any time to work the system.  The same people make the most noise about how making money on the net doesn’t work.  The fact is you are going to have to put some time in.

When in high school, I was still in the special ed program. But on the other hand I was also taking higher math class, drafting, computers, and chemistry.  Now, I didn’t know about this this until years after I was out of school. My special ed teacher in high school be came a good friend even after school. Mrs, Haun, was there for each of us all four years of high school. She lived down the street from and I saw her all the time. I even replaced her AC one summer.

Anyway, my wife and I was over visiting one day and she told me this story.  Mrs. Haun was eating in the teacher lounge and over heard my chemistry teach tell someone that she had a student who was failing her class. She went on to talk about how this kid was able to do the daily work but failed all test. She was even bragging that he would  do 4-5 more experiments then the other kids.

Mrs. Haun give her the idea that show maybe should read the text to him. On test days, I would come to school before all classes started and she would read me the test. I was no longer failing that class. She later told Mrs. Haun that I was the first kid that she had in her class with a learning disability. She had heard about kids like me but don’t understand how this could be, until she meet me.

You may want to knew how I could do the work in a chemistry class when I could read very well.  For me it was always in the picture. When I look at the pages that had the formula on the it, it look  like code, not words. It was very easy to follow, unlike words that don’t make any sense somethings.  In chemistry, you don’t have real words, just symbol.  It also followed a very logical pattern.  Reading on the other hand don’t make scene half of the time.  Look you have words that you say that same but spelled two or three different ways.

What come next…

Now that they knew what was wrong with me, it was time to do something about it. I staid in the normal class room for most of the day. But for Englishes I when to special ed.  There they work we me on reading and writing. This was done on a slower and lower level then my other class mates. The other kids don’t understand that I had a leaning disability and needed help.   I was called all kinds of mean things because I was in special ed. I remember them calling me baby class… I remember crying more then one time when no one was looking.

Mrs Black become one of the best teacher I had in grade school. She was mean, be in a good way. She get it that I just leaned in a different way and slower then other kids, but that I could lean! That year I leaned what normal kids do in first three years of school.  At the end of that that year Mrs. Black asked if I wanted to stay back a grade. My parents said it was up to me. I guess I know that I had now learned all the stuff that I should have done in the fourth grade, so I said yes. I would like to make a note here that one of the kids in my class Mark who had stayed back the year was one of my best friends. He could understand me and what I was going through. Must kids just don’t understand.

So, I did the forth grade for two years. At first it was vary hard, because all my classmates was now in the fifth grade and I was still in the 4th.  And the new kids in my class don’t understand ether. All they could see was that I had to redo the 4th grade again.  I would like to tell you have it got easier with the kids but I can’t, not until I got into high school.

I was in special ed all the way through school, but only for stuff that had to do with English. Most people with some type of disabled make up for it in some other way. You’ve all heard of a blind person be able to hear better then others. For me, numbers where easy.  I don’t have to read them. You can just see what they are and don’t have to figure out how to say them. I could talk just not read.  There are lots of people that have gone through there whole lives without letting other know what they can’t read.

Was not until after school that I leaned to love to read. I have read other 700 books in the 20 years. In face when I get started on a good book I don’t hear anything going on around me. I’ve lean to get lost in the story.  For me names are the hardest they to read. In books that I read, if the name is to hard to just make something up.. it’s funny later when I try to talk about the book with someone who else as read it. But it all works out.

I just want to let anyone that has a leaning disable that it’s the end of the world. I know at times it my be hard, but you can make it. If I can, you can. Just learn to learn. What i mean is find the best way for you to learn. In fact it wold mostly not be the way other learn. That is the problem with most school system is that if you don’t fit the normal way of learning you are just left out.  It will take something, but when you do learn how you learn the world will be open to you.

dyslexia… I have it.. don’t sit to close! What is it and how did I get it. For me it all started when I moved in with my Dad and new Step Mom. I moved into a new town that have a great school system back then (DeSoto TX). I was in the fourth grade and didn’t know what I was different then the other kids. My teacher Mrs. Black called my parents and let them know that there was something wrong with me. See, I couldn’t say the alphabet or write my name. Yet, I was in the fourth grade.

You may want to know how I got there with out being able to do the things that a 4th grader should be able to do. I don’t remember very much before the third grade. But I was going to school in east Dallas Tx, and here is what happen. About two weeks in to the school year, me teacher had a hearth attack right there in the class room. She fall to the floor and I ran to the office and got help. The next day the Art teacher become our new teacher for the year. We did lots of art work. But there was three or four of us that got to play all day in the back of the room. I didn’ t know that was bad. I just knew that I had lots of fun.

Back to the Mrs Black. she was one of those teacher that you ether loved or hated. Most of the kids hated her because she made sure you leaned what you needed to. See, she cared enough to find out when a student couldn’t learn. She had more students repeat the fourth grade then any other teacher. Anyway, they had me tested to find out what was going on. What we where told was that I have sequential dyslexia! They then told my parents that I would not make it all the way to high school and that they should take me out of school. My dad asked the golden question: do I have to still pay school taxes? They told him yep, my dad told them he is going to school.

So what did all this mean and how did I get dyslexia… First, people with a learning disability are no different then anyone else.  We are still people too. At times in my life I was not sure of that. We just lean in a different way. Our brains are just wired in a different way to lean. As far as how I got it, there are too many different ideas. But what I was told is that I missed a big step in the training process, I didn’t crawl!  I just started pulling myself up and walking. When babies crawl they are training there brain to learn in order process. There is a right and wrong way to crawl.  If they find kids with dyslexia before it’s too late, they will make them crawl for a couple hours a day. Now remember this was in the 70′s, so I bet there is new data on all this.

This week I’m going to post about what it takes as a person to work form home.  Is it right for you and your family.  This is not aimed at anyone company or program. There are lots of people on and off line trying to make money.  Having a home business is not the same as having a 9-5 J.O.B. (Just Over Broke).

If you are not trying to make money online, I bet you know someone who is. I’m afraid must are not having good luck in making it work. I believe one of the biggest reason is they are just not ready to make it work. There are something that are very much the same as in the real world… I know you have all herd this:

“If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.”

It’s even more true on the net then real life. It’s harder to know when someone  is lying or telling the  truth.  We have all falling for the system or program that sound so good to be true and you wanted to believe that it would be that easy to make all the money.  But in the end it was just another get rich schemes,  I’ve been there too.

As you read my post, I hope you will take the time to not just read, but think about it. Can you see yourself doing that? Would it work for you.

Next, let look at time…

Code, Code and more code.. I stated program before high school. I fill in love with computer when there was very few of them around. My first computer was Timex, then a Atari with 48k. From there I moved up bigger and batter. I don’t do a whole lot with programing until later in life.  I want to be someone that not just programmed but that could design system. I want to a trade school to electrical engineering. There I learn how computer worked on the inside. This help me become a better programmer.

I was in the HVAC business at the time I was going to school and learn more there when in the school sometimes.  Later I moved from doing AC to do control work. These was the best lesson I could have to start me the road to leaning how the program… Back then I was programming with relays and times. It was all hard wired, be it was programming. If you could see some of the logic we had to come up with to make things work.

Next, I when into the control field. Here is where I started to really program. Now I was using PLC and HMI’s to program.  It’s lean be fire in my cases. I found again that I loved programming. It was all about coming up with the right logic to make it work. You had a limited amount of option to use to get it done.  But it was fun. I love to see if I could make run faster and smaller too.  I started playing around with VB at this time too. I was writing code for the uses on the HMI and other tools we need to control just about anything.

Now, I’ve moved to the web.. O’boy there is more tools and toys to play with then you count and it’s growing all the time. In fact, if you stop leaning you will get be hide real fast. I don’t go to school to to program at any time. I’ve just be able to pick it up. If I can see some code, I can figure it out. In fact that is the best way for me to learn, is to revise engineer it.

I’ve been a network marketer for the last 5 years. As working my online business, I have find that there was not the sites or tool that I needed to work my business. I knew it was time to dive back into program again and build the sites and tools that I needed. I have learn some many different things in the least 3 years doing web program. It’s time to share what I’ve leaned. I’ve going to start a PHP category on my blog here. I will start to make video’s. I’ve watched and leaned form some of the best on the net…

But, I can’t believe how may people are not teaching OOP when it comes to web programing. So, that is was I’m going to be showing you. I have some cool ideas that we can work on. I will start by saying that I’m not going to teach the basics of PHP. If you can read it and write some code you do OK.  I will try and start this over the weekend…

My new blog! Ya Ya… what do I want to put here. I have some many ideas, I just don’t what which ones I should put up first.  I’m more then just me. It’s even more then my family. It’s the world I call ME. It’s my family and friends and the people that are in and out of my life. Some of the things I want to put here are about what I’m doing to make a living… I got out of the J.O.B. world. For those that don’t know J.O.B. is Just Over Broke! I’ve moved outside the box. But again, I’m more than just that. I have lots of things I love to do. I’m a programmer, dad, game player, lover… AND I’m dyslexia, so if you find some miss spelled words, it’s ok, I put them in there just for you to find… The truth is that even spell check doesn’t always help.

So, what I’ve thing of doing is just make a categorize for each of the main things going on in my life. This way anyone that finds them can read about them and fine other stuff too.
